Las tres historias del tr\u00edptico se refieren a mujeres atrapadas en eventos hist\u00f3ricos a lo largo de casi quinientos a\u00f1os de historia haitiana, comenzando con la \u00e9poca de los viajes exploratorios de Crist\u00f3bal Col\u00f3n al Nuevo Mundo y terminando en la d\u00e9cada de 1970 con las medidas represivas del r\u00e9gimen de B\u00e9b\u00e9 Doc Duvalier. Estos tres retratos conforman un trabajo esencial de testimonio, demostrando la perenne preocupaci\u00f3n de Seghers, como escritora revolucionaria, por dar voz a los marginados.<\/h5>\n<p>Autora:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Anna Seghers<\/strong> (Maguncia, 1900-Berl\u00edn, 1983) Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, la ocupaci\u00f3n de Par\u00eds por parte de los alemanes (1940) la oblig\u00f3 a refugiarse en Marsella, desde donde logr\u00f3 embarcarse con rumbo a M\u00e9xico. En los caf\u00e9s de Par\u00eds y en los de Marsella trabaj\u00f3 febrilmente en dos novelas, sin duda sus mejores obras, escritas por el impulso de tener que decir a tantos millares de personas afectadas como ella por el nazismo. En M\u00e9xico fue presidenta del Heine Club. Al terminar la guerra se estableci\u00f3, en 1947, en Berl\u00edn Este, donde se convirti\u00f3 en una de las principales y m\u00e1s activas exponentes de la cultura de la Rep\u00fablica Democr\u00e1tica Alemana, donde ocup\u00f3 varios cargos.
