Quiz\u00e1 por eso Minerva se convirti\u00f3 en estudiante de posgrado en literatura de horror y ahora investiga la vida de Beatrice Tremblay, una enigm\u00e1tica autora de cuentos macabros. Mientras trabaja en su tesis, Minerva descubre que<em>\u00a0La desaparici\u00f3n<\/em>, la novela m\u00e1s famosa de\u00a0Tremblay,\u00a0se inspir\u00f3 en hechos reales: d\u00e9cadas atr\u00e1s, durante la Gran Depresi\u00f3n, la escritora asisti\u00f3 a la misma universidad que ella y se obsesion\u00f3 con su hermosa y sobrenatural compa\u00f1era de habitaci\u00f3n, quien desapareci\u00f3 bajo misteriosas circunstancias.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 20px;\">As\u00ed, cuanto m\u00e1s se adentra Minerva en el manuscrito de Tremblay, m\u00e1s siente la presencia de una fuerza oscura que parece acechar en los pasillos del campus. Esa misma inquietud\u00a0le\u00a0recuerda a las historias de Nana Alba, que hablaban de un aterrador encuentro con brujas en el M\u00e9xico de 1900.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 20px;\">Pronto, Minerva sospecha que la sombra que oscureci\u00f3 las vidas de su abuela y de Tremblay ha llegado tambi\u00e9n hasta ella, en la Massachusetts de los a\u00f1os 90.
