Nuestro narrador padece un extra\u00f1o s\u00edndrome: sufre de empat\u00eda patol\u00f3gica, es capaz de adentrarse sin permiso en los recuerdos de los dem\u00e1s. As\u00ed, viaja de un recuerdo a otro, desde una feria rural b\u00falgara en 1925 \u2014donde conoce a un minotauro\u2014 hasta el interior de la mente de una babosa que es devorada por su propio abuelo. A partir de esa materia ins\u00f3lita, Gueorgui Gospod\u00ednov construye en <i>F\u00edsica de la tristeza <\/i>un prodigioso laberinto donde la memoria personal se funde con la historia colectiva.
