Como verbo irregular (<em>apuesto<\/em>, <em>apuestan<\/em>\u2026), puede construirse de varias maneras en funci\u00f3n de su significado.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 16px;\">1. <em>Le apost\u00f3 un d\u00f3lar a que llov\u00eda<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 16px;\">De acuerdo con el <em>Diccionario panhisp\u00e1nico de dudas<\/em>, <em>apostar<\/em> es <strong>transitivo<\/strong> con el sentido de <strong>\u2018pactar con otro(s) que quien tenga raz\u00f3n en una discusi\u00f3n, obtenga la victoria o acierte el resultado de un juego o contienda deportiva gana [algo convenido<\/strong>, especialmente una cantidad de dinero]\u2019 (\u00abApostar un d\u00f3lar\u00bb). Si se a\u00f1ade adem\u00e1s <strong>un complemento que indica aquello que se cree que suceder\u00e1<\/strong>, este <strong>ir\u00e1 encabezado por <em>a<\/em><\/strong>: \u00abApuesto un d\u00f3lar a que puedo ganarte\u00bb.<strong> La persona<\/strong> con la que se hace la apuesta <strong>es el complemento indirecto<\/strong>: \u00abLes apost\u00e9 dos euros a que com\u00eda m\u00e1s que \u00e9l\u00bb. Tambi\u00e9n se usa de manera absoluta, sin especificar qu\u00e9 obtendr\u00eda el ganador: \u00abApostaron a que ten\u00edan raz\u00f3n\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>Si hay varias opciones posibles<\/strong> en el juego o el deporte en el que se quiere apostar, aquella por la que se opta <strong>se introduce con un complemento que empieza por <em>a<\/em> o <em>por<\/em><\/strong>: \u00abApost\u00f3 todo su dinero por ese caballo\u00bb o \u00abMe dijo que apostara veinte euros al rojo\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 16px;\">2. <em>Se apost\u00f3 una cena con sus amigos<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 16px;\">Cuando se usa <strong>en forma pronominal (<em>apostarse<\/em>)<\/strong>, el complemento que indica <strong>la persona con la que se apuesta<\/strong> no es indirecto, sino que <strong>va precedido por la preposici\u00f3n <em>con<\/em><\/strong>: \u00abSe apost\u00f3 una cena con nosotros a que le gustar\u00eda\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 16px;\">3. <em>Apuesto (a) que a esta hora ya est\u00e1 durmiendo<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 16px;\"><em>Apostar<\/em> tambi\u00e9n puede significar <strong>\u2018dar por seguro [algo]\u2019<\/strong>, sentido con el que <strong>se construye seguido de una oraci\u00f3n que comienza por <em>que<\/em><\/strong>. Esta <strong>puede ir<\/strong>, adem\u00e1s, <strong>con la preposici\u00f3n <em>a<\/em><\/strong> (como complemento de r\u00e9gimen) <strong>o sin ella<\/strong> (como complemento directo): \u00ab\u00c9l es muy listo.
